Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson is an American actor who became famous for playing Buffy Summers in the cult Buffy the Vampireslayer film. She also played Becky Granger in the telefilm Nightingales as well as the very short-lived NBC show with the identical nameErica Paget on the CBS the drama Early Edition and Marlowe Viccellio in Psych. Born in California, she began her interest in acting when she was an early child. She began working in the world of advertising, appearing in many commercials. In 1984 she made her first appearance in a screen show of NBC's sitcom It's Your Turn. Her first big screen appearance came just two years later in the romance show Pretty in Pink. Swan, who is known for her breathless voice and blonde hairlisp has been playing side roles in the last few years. She won her the Young Artist Award in 1989 for Best Young Actress in Horror or the Mystery Motion Picture for Flowers in the Attic.
